Completed Projects

• Trinity Strand Trail (Design District): Over 2 miles of paved concrete trail along the original Trinity River channel, extending from Oak Lawn Ave to Farrington St.

• Turtle Creek to Inwood DART Connection: Over 2 miles of trail and sidewalk connections linking Turtle Creek Blvd to the Inwood DART Station via Market Center Blvd, Harry Hines Blvd, Medical District Dr, and a dedicated underpass beneath the DART rail line.

• The Hi-Line Connector: A key urban link connecting the Trinity Strand Trail directly to the Katy Trail through the Design District and Victory Park.

In Progress

• Hi-Line Pedestrian Bridge: Constructing a new bridge connecting Hi-Line Dr to the north side of the historic Trinity River channel.

• North Channel Trail Segment: Building a concrete trail section along the north side of the river channel adjacent to the Abstract Design District apartments.

• Mama’s Daughter’s Diner Bridge: Installing a dedicated pedestrian bridge near Mama’s Daughter’s Diner to improve trail continuity.

Future Plans

• Trailhead & Amenities Enhancement: Adding lighting, seating, landscaping, and public art along the Design District trail section.

• Pegasus Park Extension: Extending the trail along the river channel to directly link into the Pegasus Park campus.
